Citrix has recently announced that the new Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 2203 LTSR release is coming out soon.
In the upcoming Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 2203 LTSR, Citrix will be supporting Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 for the Citrix VDA server role. The core Citrix VAD infrastructure will be compatible with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 servers. For Linux VDAs, Citrix will be offering support for RHEL 8.1-.4, CentOS 7.8-7.9, Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04, SLES 12.5 and 15.3 and Debian 10.
In order to upgrade to Citrix VAD LTSR 2203, the following source environments will be supported:
- XenApp/XenDesktop 7.15 CU7
- XenApp/XenDesktop 7.15 CU8
- Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 1912 CU4
- Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 1912 CU5
Also any Citrix VAD Current Release (CR) which was released in 2020 or 2021 and which is supported at the time of upgrade, can upgrade directly to the LTSR. This means Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 2012-2112 Current Releases are eligible to upgrade directly until they are no longer individually supported.
